Open Door Weeks

From 02.03.09 to 06.03.09 "Open Door Week” took place in KazGASA.
During the week the following were held daily:
- general excursion around the Academy, acquaintance with the library, museum, computer classes, sport complex, and work of The Youth Student Committee, etc;
- acquainting high school student with Academy’s history, educational and cultural activities, explaining matters on interested majors, types and forms of education, special scholarships, student life, etc.
- booklets and leaflets distribution.
75 school students from 38 high schools visited the event from 02.03.09 to 06.03.09.

From 06.04.09 to 10.04.09 Open Door Week took place in KazGASA. 161 school students from 55 high schools visited this event. The next Open Door Week will be held from 04.05.09 till 08.05.09.

KazGASA Days in Region’s schools

From 07.04.09 to 09.04.09 held "KazGASA Days in Region’s schools”. On these days 28 teachers of KazGASA visited Region’s schools in:
1. Shamalghan village
2. Avat village
3. Boralday village, Ile district
4. Talghar town, Issyk village
5. Kapshaghay town
6. Uzynaghash village
7. Boralday village, Alatau district
Academy’s faculty met with high school graduates; informational materials were distributed; videos about KazGASA were demonstrated; Academy’s representatives answered graduates’ questions about KazGASA on majors and entrance rules.

The KazGASA Job Fair

On 9th April 2009, from 14:00 pm to 17:00 pm The spring Job Fair -2009 was held at KazGASA on architecture, design, civil engineering and economic majors.
The aim of the KazGASA Job Fair – to help graduates with career services and connecting them with potential employers.
Representatives of such companies as Tengizcheroil, KazNIISA, Almaty city GASK and design firms participated in the KazGASA Job Fair.

International Festival "Degree and Profession”

By the decision of the 5th Islamic Conference of Ministers of Culture (21 -23 November 2007), Baku city was declared the capital of Islamic culture of 2009, and in this connection during 2009 will be organized several events in Azerbaijan. One of this event is international festival ‘Degree and Profession’ for students and young architects on the topic ‘Traditional Islamic Architecture’, which was held on 14 -20 March 2009 in Baku. Architects, researchers, students from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Russia, Italy, Cyprus and Bosnia took part in the festival. The purpose of Baku festival is to give opportunity for students from regions of Islamic culture to present their diploma projects, to get acquainted with the experience of leading architects, to meet professional architects, listen to lectures of scientists and to participate in students’ seminars. In nomination "Town-planning”, the diploma project of KazGASA graduate Koishanbayev Nurlan on the topic "Town-planning solution of Asiada — 2011’s objects in Almaty” (conductor Abdurashitova A.M.) was recognized as the winner. Each winner was awarded with diploma and the grant of Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation — one month of free stay in Italy and the prize of 500 euro. Festival in Baku gave opportunity to present architecture schools and promoted establishing contacts between young architects from various countries.
