Student and Science: A look into the future

On the 1st of April, 2010 student scientific conference titled “Student and Science: A look into the future” was held at Kazakh Leading Academy of Architect and Civil Engineering. It was preceded by students’ and teachers’ intensive scientific and research collaboration.

Jury mentioned responsibility, with which students got prepared for the conference. Reports submitted by students contained really serious topics. Zarina Zakirova a student of group Str-08-3, whose supervisor was Associate Professor Vera Ilyina, presented the project of “smart house”, which is controlled by tenants of the house from considerable distance. The speech by Nurmat Manasov, Str-08-3 group student, report was quite actual (Supervisor – Associate Professor Vera Ilyina.).

In his report “Seismic cycles”, he calculated using Excel program, cycles earthquake frequency and produced date of forecast and coincidence with reality for the Almaty region . Students of Assistant Professor Zaure Aitmagambetova: Julia Krylova, Irina Nadeeva and Ekaterina Gordunovskaya submitted an interesting report.

They made calculation of heat shielding in multicomfortable dwelling. Meruert Srailova, Arch-06-1 group student, spoke on light and color solutions of 2011 Asia Games.
The students and teachers, who participated in the conference, listened with great interest the addresses’ by the speakers. They must have learned a lot.
