Opening of the Western-Kazakhstan Campus of International Educational Corporation

On September 26th in 2009 in Atyrau city was held a presentation of a new educational building of the Western-Kazakhstan Campus of IEC KAU-KazGASA.

The building was designed by the group of architects of KazGASA under the direction of A.A. Kusainov. A bright, spacious, light, 3-stored building with memorable original architecture has an area more than 8500 meter squared. The building was intended for studies of students not only from Western region, but also for students from all Kazakhstan who would like to receive worthy education of international level.

The Western-Kazakhstan subsidiary of KAU exists from 2004, till September 2009 only school had functioned. The school has only three stages of education: primary educational complex, basic school, and secondary school. The director of the schools is Saule Zhumalievna Kenzhina.
In 2009, for the first time, after receiving a license for technical specialties and professional education, the first levy was done according to nine specialties of the college: 040200 "Design (by profile) ”; 1401000 "Construction and Exploitation of Buildings and Installations”; 1514000 "Ecology and Rational Usage of Natural Resources (by branches) ”; 1306000 "Optical and Electronic Equipment”; 0512000 "Interpreting”; 0518000 "Accounting and Audit”; 0519000 "Economy”; 0516000 "Finance”.
For the opening of a new building of the WKС of IEC the directors of schools and colleges of Atyrau were invited, also parents of pupils and students were present. There was held a meeting with Hakim of the region and excursion inside the educational corps of the WKС. In connection with the opening of the college and expansion of the WKS, KAU formed part of International Educational Corporation and was renamed as Western Kazakhstan Campus of IEC. The director is Zhanulsyn Zhumalievna Kenzhina.

In order to give organizational and methodological help for the administration of the WKС of IEC in opening of the main educational building the directors of KAU and KazGASA colleges G.A. Aigaraeva and G.A. Novikova were sent to Atyrau.

After presentation a press conference was held with representatives of Mass Media of Atyrau on the opening subject of the WKС of IEC. Many newspapers of Atyrau made reports about this event. A local TV channel broadcasted a programme about presentation of campus.

Festive mood and decoration of the building as inside and outside of it lighted up this grandiose event not only for the city, but perhaps, for the whole Republic.
