Welcome to English-club round-table discussion at General Humanity Training Department:
"2 B or not 2B a life on the Earth?! ”

21 October 2009 at the Department for General Humanity Training there were hold English Club organized by students of ‘Arch-09–4’group under leadership of Nagiatova L.B., assistant professor of DGHT. Among honorary guests of English Club there were Abdrasilova G.S., vice-rector for International Relations and Students Affairs, Shyntayeva N.S., dean of DGHT, Karybaeva G.A. and others.
Scheduled English Club called "2B or not 2B a life on the Earth?! ” was devoted to ecological problems. How students concern about common problems of mankind? Let’s listen to them: "Mankind long believed that, whatever we did, the Earth would remain much the same. We know now that it’s not true. Nature is under threat. One country’s pollution may be a problem for any other one”.
Referred issues drew out heated discussion of students who expressed their anxiety on the ecological problems of our planet saying that: "Environment protection in itself is of vital importance to humankind of today. Nobody would deny the necessity for all people to establish a world of balance where human beings would be able to interact with each other with animals, plants and non-living surroundings without doing harm to any of the participants of this interaction”.

The idea of the students’ investigation in this field is to create a new understanding of the universe that will help people do something to feel safer and happier on the Earth.

After round-table discussion students took the resolution:
1. This land is ours. We ought to take care of it.
2. Everyone ought to do something about the flat or the house he lives in.
3. Take care of the trees or grasses that grow in your yard.
4. Our government ought to take measures to stop arms race and fight against any threat to the environment.
5. Our government ought to take a law to ban foreign companies to pollute our air, sea-water, land while producing oil and gas and other mineral resources.
6. We all need to beautify the land instead of destroying it.
7. The problem of nature protection is everybody’s concern nowadays.
8. A safe life on Earth depends on each of us.
