At Design Department of KazGASA the following specializations are trained for:
- Architectural design;
- Graphic design;
- Industrial design;
- Design of a suit.
Term of training (the internal form) — 5 years.
The academic degree the bachelor of design is given to the graduate of a bachelor degree on a speciality 050421 Design.
Bachelors are prepared for making creative and artworks in the sphere of designing. In accordance with specialization, they may work in creative design collectives of enterprises and organizations.
Kinds of professional activities are: design, organizational-administrative, scientific and pedagogical.

Objects of professional work:
- Architectural design: city, rural, park ensembles, small architectural forms, elements of an accomplishment and gardening, visual communications, exposition spaces, the equipment and furniture in the city environment, internal spaces inhabited and public buildings, underground constructions of public purpose, furniture, the equipment and furniture in an interior, exhibition and trading expositions, elements monumental-decorative and subjects of arts and crafts in the ex-terrier and in an interior, visual communications in an interior.
- Graphic design: graphic symbols, trade marks, firm styles, systems of visual communications, illustrations, book design, packing, advertising, social advertising, advertising for electronic and printed mass media, the outdoor advertising, transit advertising.
- Industrial design: subjects, products and their complexes intended for mass production, small-scale subjects, vehicles, the equipment, furniture.
- Design of a suit: assortment of clothes for mass production, small-scale and individual garments, designing of ensemble of a suit, accessories of a suit, designing and modelling of various kinds of a collection of models, daily, elegant, exhibition and special clothes, forecasting of a fashion.

Disciplines of a base and profile component are included in the designers’ course curriculum: History and the Theory of Design, History of Arts, Drawing, Painting, Engineering Graphic, Composition, Chromatics, Professional Computer Programs, Elements and Process for Specialized Design, Objects Design on Specializations, and also a number of disciplines.
