Admission Rules

1.General rules

1. Kazakh Leading Academy (further KazLAACE) realizes training of personnel of initial professional, secondary professional, high basic (bachelor) high- scientific- pedagogical (master) retraining (raising the level of staff’s) specialists of architectural and construction profile.

1. 2.In the Academy full time, part –time, distance education is conducted.
2. 3. The training is conducted in state and Russian languages. Special conditions for studying a number of special disciplines and defense of diploma project in English are given for especially gifted students who speak English very well.
3. 4. All the citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, foreign citizens and people without citizenship that having secondary, general, initial, high-professional education can pass entrance exams to Academy. Documents which are presented in English must have notarized translation in Kazakh and Russian. Documents about education given by foreign educational organizations can be notarized in established order.

2. Admission rules to bachelor degree of KazLAACE

5. Kazakh Leading Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering (further Academy) carries out preparation of bachelors on the following specialties.

6. Admission to academy is carried out by the means of state budget financing, accommodated of the state order on personnel training (state educational grants) also payment of training at the expense of citizen’s own funds and resources.

7. Along with the citizens of Republic of Kazakhstan state educational grant can be given to Kazakhs who are the citizens of other states, foreign students and people without citizenship that permanently living in Republic of Kazakhstan, and also citizen of Russian Federation, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Tajikistan, Republic of Kyrgyzstan.
Other foreign citizens and people without citizenship are admitted to the academy in order of established legislation of Republic of Kazakhstan, and with the international contracts ratified by Republic of Kazakhstan.

8.Admission to the academy is carried out by the applications of the citizen competitive basis in accordance with the certificate scores, given out on the results of unite national tests (UNT) or complex testing conducted according to the technology, worked put by National center of state standards of education and testing of Minister of Education and Science of Republic of Kazakhstan. Students pass special and creative exams for those specializations which demand special or creative preparation.
Unit national testing is conducted for school- leavers of secondary education every year.

9.Complex testing is conducted for prior school- leavers, students of initial and secondary education, school- leavers of secondary school, training on the line of international exchange of pupils abroad without taking part in UNT, school – leavers from schools which train in Uzbek, Uigur, Tadjik languages without taking part in UNT, school –leavers of musical schools, participants of international Olympiad on school subjects of current year, and foreign citizens, graduated educational institution abroad.

10. Admission to the academy of the citizen who graduated from secondary professional, high basic education on the allied specialty by brief curriculum on paid basis realized by Admission Board of Academy after passing the entrance exams in the form of interview. Indicated category of citizens entering to the specialties 050420,050421 pass two creative exams (except those graduates with allied specialties).

11. Documents in foreign languages must have notoriety affirmation.

12.Documents obtained by the abroad organizations must be nostrificated in established order.

13. Applications to the creative exams take place from 20 June till 1 July. Quantity of exams is 2.

14. For participation in complex testing the citizen submits to the admission board of academy the application on the form of the established sample, the certificate or the diploma about the graduation of an initial professional or technical professional educational institution (original), the document confirming the right of priority, the receipt on payment for carrying out of testing, a copy of the receipt on payment of the registration payment, two photos in the size 3.4 (acting on a specialty 050420б 050421–3 photos), and also a copy of the document with a photo, certifying the person.

15. Application deadline is from 20th of June till 9th of July. The complex test is held from 17th till 23d of July.

16. Applicants who come to complex testing must show his identify card (passport) and permission to the examination.
Maximum amount of score of the creative examination is 30. Applicants receiving less than 15 scores in one of these exams or not to come to these exams aren’t admitted to Complex testing on entering given specialties. If they can’t pass their examination papers won’t be given only they can take their documents. These papers must be destroyed.

17.UNT and Complex testing is held according to the wish of the applicant in Kazakh or Russian in volume of academic program of secondary education.

- for specialties 050729,050730,050525,050731,050713,050703- history of Kazakhstan, Kazakh/ Russian, math, geography.

18.The whole number of tasks in each subject is 25. Right answer of each task is evaluated as one score.

19.. 2 astronomic hours 30 min are given to complex testing. Retake is not allowed.

20. Codes of right answers are given after finishing the scanning of answer papers, which is held after testing.

21. Processing of the results of complex testing is held in the higher school where complex testing has been held.

22. The results of complex testing for receiving certificate are existed by state commission on the day of its passing.

23. According to the results of complex testing for every participant is written out certificate of established sample which is given by state commission within 3 days after testing.

24. Citizen who doesn’t agree with the results of testing has the right to the appeal. Application for appeal is handed in the Selection Board, confirmed by the chairman of state commission, till 13 0’clock the next day after the announcement of the result of testing and is considered by selection board within day.

25. The award of state educational grants is carried out on a competitive basis on specific specialties and language departments, in limits established of the state order. The award is carried out with the competitive commission of ministry of education and science republic of Kazakhstan according to the rules of its work. Applications are accepted from the 23d till the31t of July.

26. At realization of competition on receiving educational grants according to scores on the state certificate the priority right will be given to:
1) The pupils awarded the prize ‘ altyn belgy’
2) Winner of international and republican Olympiads and scientific competitions on the secondary school subjects (awarded by the diplomas I, II,III, stages) current year and also winner of republican and international competitions of the performers and sports competition in the last three years under condition of conformity of the specialty chosen by them with the subject of Olympiad, scientific conferences competition prizes of winners. List of specialties, corresponding subjects of international republican scientific conferences, competition of performers and sport competition affirmed by the Ministry.

27. The award state educational grants firstly is carried out by citizens who have priority to entering to university according to paragraph 23 on present rules. Further the award state educational grants are carried out on competitive basis according to the scores of state certificate on the language department, universities and turn of specialties marked by applicants.
Vacation is given to one of language department on the competitive award basis inside of specialty.
Vacation, left after competitive award of state educational grants reallocated inside of training direction on the specialty with the high passing scores not to depend on appealing form of training and language departments.

28. Citizens obtained right of getting grant affirm it through the documents goven to the admission board.

29. Disabled students of I and II group, show certificates allowed them to study.

30. Entrance who chose creative exams and have Altyn belgy can obtain grant of that university where they pass the exams.

31. scores of the Russian and Kazakh languages exam are also counted.

32. At realization of competition on receiving educational grants according to scores on the state certificate the priority right will be given to:
1) The pupils awarded the prize ‘ altyn belgy’
2) Winner of international and republican Olympiads and scientific competitions on the secondary school subjects (awarded by the diplomas I, II,III, stages) current year and also winner of republican and international competitions of the performers and sports competition in the last three years under condition of conformity of the specialty chosen by them with the subject of Olympiad, scientific conferences competition prizes of winners. List of specialties, corresponding subjects of international republican scientific conferences, competition of performers and sport competition affirmed by the Ministry.
The citizens who have received certificates on award of the state educational grant, submit application for admission to high school specified in certificate are enlisted in number of students. Owners of certificates on award of the state educational grant on creative specialties are enlisted in academy under condition of passing the creative examinations in Kazakh leading academy of architecture and civil engineering.

33. Transfer in number of students on paid training is carried out by the Admission Board of academy on competition, according to scores of the certificate separately on specialties and language department. In entering to a specialty «Architecture» and «Design» in view of scores on creative examinations.

35.In case of identical parameters of scores of the state certificates through budgetary financing invalids of the first and the second group, invalids since the childhood, children invalids who according to the conclusion medical- social examination training in the corresponding organizations of education is not contra- indicated, the citizens having the highest score to a profile subject have the right of priority to award of the state educational grants, and also reception of free –of-charge state education. Owners of golden medal prize can participate in competition on award of the state educational grants on any specialty without dependence on the fourth subject of testing.

36. To the citizens who have received the state educational grants, Minister writes out certificates of the established sample. Lists of owners corresponding certificates are published in mass media.

37 State commissions notify persons, owning the state educational grants on necessity of reception of corresponding certificates. Certificates on award of the state educational grant together with the documents which have been handed over in Admission Board in Academy, are given out to citizens not later on August, 15.

38 Enrollment in number of students is carried out by Admission board of academy from August 10 till August 25.
In Admission Board of academy citizens to the application for admission apply the document on the secondary education. Initial professional, technical professional or high basic original, 6 photos 3*4cm, a copy of the receipt on payment of a registration payment, medical information, form 086-y, state certificate, and also the certificate on award of me state educational grant at his presence.

41.For entrants having high scores in certificates on results of UNT or complex testing, and also for entrants from needy families competition on educational grants is carried out in Academy.
- 15 grants from 100% payment on academy
- 20grants from 50% payment on academy.
The owners of grant having results of the first examinational term marks only excellent, will continue training under grant according to regulations about the order of award of the special grant of academy ‘Scholarship’, otherwise trainees pay for training in full from the first term of the first course.

3.The order of admission in a master’s degree

42. In master’s degree of Academy,citizens of Republic Kazakhstan, foreign citizens and persons without the citizenship, having the high professional training and shown propensity to scientific work on the following specialties are accepted:

00710-Materiology and technology of new materials

43. Formation of a contingent master’s degree in Academy is carried out by means of accommodation of the state order for preparation of scientifically pedagogical staff, and also payment of training at the expense of physical and legal persons under the forms determined by Minister.

44. People with the Kazakh ethnic background, being citizens of other states, has the equal right to admission of the high scientifically pedagogical education with citizens of Republic of Kazakhstan. Foreign citizens and those who don’t have citizenship, permanently living in republic of Kazakhstan can use equal right on the high-scientific pedagogical education with citizens of Republic of Kazakhstan in the order of established by the legislation of Republic of Kazakhstan, the international contracts, agreements, and also under the contracts made with KazLAACE.

45. Other foreign citizens and those who do not have citizenship are admitted in master KazLAACE on the basis of international contracts and agreement, ratified by Republic of Kazakhstan.

46. For the period of conducting entrance examination and transfer in a master in KazLAACE, the subject examination and selection board, that members and power affirmed by rector of KazLAACE are created.

47. The citizens having the general score for all term of training on previous levels (lower 4on 5 mark scale) are not supposed to admission in number of master on state order of citizen.

48. Admission of applications is carried out from July, 01 till 31 exams from august 01–20, entrance from 31 august.

49. Citizens to the application for admission in a master apply the document on the high professional training, 6 photos 3x4, medical information form 086–4, and also a copy of the document certifying person for the Admission Board of Academy for admission in a master degree.
In the admission board of academy citizens acting in a master degree hand over entrance examinations on foreign language and discipline on a specialty.
Entrance examinations on foreign language in the form of testing in the centers developed by the Ministry.
Examination on discipline of a specialty in the volume of programs of a previous level of the high professional training is carried out by the Admission Board of academy.
Retake examinations is not supposed.

50. Entrant who disagrees with the decision of Admission Board, has the right to submit written appeal application.

51. After consideration of the appeal it is made by decision of the selection aboard on an evaluation of examination work (as in case, its increase, and downturn).

52. Transfer in master’ number is carried out on a competition basis on the results of entrance examinations. At summarizing competition preference is given out to the persons most capable and prepared for development of master educational program.
The citizens who have less 8 scores on foreign language and specialty entrance examinations to transfer in a number of master at 5 mark scale of an evaluation of knowledge on every discipline.

53. Transfer in number master’s degree is carried out by the Admission board of academy from August, 31.

4. The order of admission to Complex of Colleges at KazLAACE

54. In College at Academy citizens of Republic Kazakhstan, foreign citizens and persons without the citizenship, constantly living in Republic Kazakhstan in the order established by the legislation of Republic Kazakhstan, the international contracts, agreements, and also, under the contract made with the of educational organizations of Republic Kazakhstan are accepted; the persons of the Kazakh nationality who are not being citizens of Republic Kazakhstan, having basic general, secondary education and initial professional training.
Other foreign citizens and persons without citizenship are accepted in college in the order established by the legislation of Republic Kazakhstan, and also the international contracts ratified by Republic Kazakhstan.

55. Citizens having initial professional training on allied specialties are accepted on training under the brief, accelerated programs; having average professional training, are accepted on training on the brief educational programs in the brief terms.

56. In College at KazLAACE admission on the following specialties under full time and part time forms of training is carried out.

57. To the application for admission in college acting apply the original of the document on education, the medical information form 086, 026 passport of health, 063 individual card of a child, (for invalids 1и2 groups and invalids since the childhood conclusion МСЭ), 4 photos in the size 3.4 (for creative specialties 5 photos) graduates of secondary schools of the current year the state certificate on results unit national or the certificate of complex testing, a copy of the receipt on payment of a registration payment. Works having the experience apply the copy of a work-record card certified by the employer.
At delivery of documents entrant should show the identification card, the passport or the certificate on a birth, or the document replacing it and.

58. Entrance examinations for citizens:
With secondary education (current year school leavers trained in Uzbek, Uigur, Tadjik languages) are conducted on three subjects according to the secondary education curriculum (Kazakh) Russian languages, history of Kazakhstan and specific discipline.
With the basic general education – two subjects in accordance with general basic education curriculum Kazakh, Russian languages and specific discipline.

59. Applicants from the field of ‘architecture’ and ‘design’ must submit creative examinations drawing and painting.
Applicants who failed on creative examination are not allowed to take other examinations.
Quantity of test questions on each subject is 30. The correct answer is evaluated as 1 mark. Testing on three subjects comprises two hours 15 minutes, on two subjects 1 hour 30 minute. Codes of correct answers are posting up after testing. Testing results are announced during testing day.
Marks ‘3’, ’4’, ’5’ getting on results of entrance examinations are transformed by admission board to score according to scale

60. In order to provide maintenance of common requirements and permit ion of questionable Situation during test assessment and examinations, selection board is created for the protection of the entrant’s right. Resident, who disagrees with the results of testing or entrance examinations, has the right for selection board.
Appeal is applied by selection board during a day after announcement of examination results. Retake testing or entrance exams on subjects are not allowed.

61. Reception of applications of the citizens acting in college on full- time training is carried out from June, 20 till August, 20, on the part time form of training from June, 20 till September, 20. Entrance examinations on the full- time training are carried out from August, 1 till August, 28, on part – time training from August, 1 till September, 25.
Reception of documents on the full- time of training on specialties: 0640002, 0639002 it is carried out from June, 20 till July, 20, special examinations are carried out from July, 21 till July, 28.

62. Transfer in number of students of the full- time training is carried out on a competitive basis from August, 25 till August, 30, on part – time training is carried out from September, 15 till September, 30.

Competition is carried out:
On the basis of scores of the certificates given by results of unit national testing of the current year;
On the basis of points of the certificates given on result of entrance examinations, carried out to the form of complex testing for acting in college;
At carrying out of competition on transfer the score from three subjects specified in certificate UNТ or complex testing is taken into account.
The citizens who have collected less 20 scores from two subjects for having basic general education and less of 30 scores from three subjects for having secondary education are not supposed to participation in competition on transfer in a number of students.

63. Complex testing and entrance examinations for school- leavers after 11th form are in Kazakh and Russian languages according curriculum of basic general and secondary education:

- For specialties 293602-History of Kazakhstan, Kazakh/Russian, and math (after 9th form) physics 9 after 11th forms)

65. Professional school selection is offered by interviewing of applicant for duration:
On the base general secondary education from 1 month up to the 1 year
On the base of basic general education (9^th form) with taking general secondary education – 2 years
On the base of basic general education without receiving secondary education- from 1 to 2 year

66. Application papers should consist of application form, certificate with school achievements (school- leaving certificate), photos 3x4, and medical card 086 –Y.

6.Admission rules to the secondary school (lyceum) of KazLAACE

67. Lyceum of KazLAACE acceptes pupils of 10–11 forms to the following profile subjects:
- architecture, drawing and design
- Architecture, drawing and design
- Natural and technical sciences

68. Into lyceum pupils are accepted on the basis of competence independently from their residence. The maintenance and form of competitive selection are defined by state standards of formation on the basic and additional secondary educational programs.

69. Entering the lyceum to the application for admission apply the certificate of the graduating of basic school (9 form, in original), the birth certificate (copy), an individual card of the child, 6 photos in the size 3x4, copy of the payment receipt of registration payment.

70. Admission of documents is spent by the Admission Board of lyceum from the 20 th of June till the 29th of August. The pupils, entering the training on profile "Architecture, picture and design”, it is necessary to hand over creative works.

71. Admission of pupils into the lyceum is carried out in the form of interview. The level of knowledge and ability to successful educational activity are shown during that interview.

72. Terms of interview are established in process of pupils’ recruitment.

7. Admission rules to the Institute of eternal education at KazLAACE

73. Basic task of the Institute of Continual Education is an organization and carrying out of short- term of qualification improvement courses and retraining of teachers of High school of architectural and construction profile of the republic of Kazakhstan on the licensed specialties, rendering of consulting services concerning on the construction.

74. Citizens, having secondary professional or high basic, or on a contractual basis with high schools, firms, companies, or under the state order are accepted on the courses of qualification improvement and retraining.

75. Duration of short- term courses is from 2 till 6 weeks.

76.Listeners are given certificates of the established sample after the finishing of the qualification improvement courses.
