Trade-union committee of KazGASA realizes its activity according to the Rules of Almaty city organization of trade union employee of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan «Parassat».

Committee’s activity is based on the principles of activity and initiative of members, making decisions collectively.

Committee takes part in development and realization of plans of social and economic development of the academy in order to improve working conditions of staff, takes part in the decision of labour disputes, controls maintenance norm of labour legislation in the academy, rules and norms of Industrial Safety Measures. Commitee takes part in organization and conducting cultural and sport actions for staff and students of the academy

For social protection of students the committee of KazGASA promotes material aid for staff and students. There is a medical center in the Academy, canteens such as: "Academy”, «Minute» and "Express”.

Important direction of the activity of trade-union committee is realization of social program. We had been planned and performed following actions:

• Conducting following holidays "New Year”, "Women’s Day”, «Nauruz», "End of the Academic Year”
• Help to Student’s Committee in conducting "Spring of KazGASA”, "Youth Against Corruption”, round table against drugs on a theme "I Choose Life”, "Saint Valentine’s Day”, "Ms. KazGASA”, "Independence Day of Kazakhstan” and etc.
• Celebrating of "Victory Day”, "Knowledge Day” together with veterans of the Second World War and veterans of KazGASA.
• Organization of leisure time in sanatoriums in summer period. Expenses are covered by Trade-union committee and Academy partially.
• Trade union committee suggests partial payment for staff of KasGASA to have a leisure time in Issyk -Kul.
• Organization leisure time in Fabrichny village for staff and students of KasGASA jointly with Sport club of KazGASA.

Administration of KazGASA and Trade-union committee take care of veterans of the Second World War and veterans of KazGASA, who have retired. While celebrating holidays, we make material support from two to ten thousand tenge annually.

For retired veterans of KazGASA we also make material support two — three thousand tenge.

In 2006–2007 academic year veterans of Academy have been invited on September1 devoted to "Day of Knowledge”. Organized meeting with the president of KazGASA prof. A.A. Kussainov, acquaintance of veterans with last events of the academy and future plans for prosperity of high school, and also had been handed premium for a total sum 118000 tenge and flowers.

Thanks to care of the president of the academy there are three buses of free-of-charge for staff. Trade-union committee assists in getting of material aid for those who have financial difficulties in different circumstances (death of close relatives, heavy long illness, heavy financial position of the worker, to lonely mothers). Recommended material aid approves president of the academy.

Application for material aid is registers on special form addressed to the president of the academy with the instruction of the circumstances caused financial difficulties.

12.1 Rules of getting of material aid to staff of KazGASA.

1. Application subscribes:
• head of a department (brief characteristic of activity of the worker and a substantiation of necessity of allocation of material aid);
• chairman trade-union committee (social peculiarities of the applicant are stated);
• chief accountant (experience of work of the applicant in KazGASA is underlined);
• the chief accountant (the information (inquiry) on the sums of material aid received by the applicant for last 12 months prior to date of submission of the application (statement)) is resulted;
• vice-rector for Financial Affairs (appoints recommended sum of the material aid depending on a category, experience and results of work of the applicant).
2. Application is finally considered by the president or rector of the academy and allocated sum affirms.

12.2 Rules of getting material aid to students of KazGASA

1. Application subscribes:
• dean of the department (students brief characteristic and substantiation of necessity of allocation of material aid is resulted);
• chairman of trade union committee (social peculiarities of the applicant are stated);
• chief accountant (the information on the sums of material aid received by the applicant for last 12 months prior to date of submission of the application is resulted);
• vice-rector for Financial Affairs (the recommended sum of material aid is underlined depending on family circumstances of the applicant).
2. The recommended sizes of material aid to students:
• death of the student of the academy, close relatives (mother, father, wife, husband, native brother or sister, parents of the spouse);
• heavy and long illness of the student of the academy, close relatives (mother, father, wife, husband, native brother or sister, parents of the spouse);
• heavy financial position of the student, and also to student — lonely mothers.
3. The application is finally considered by the rector of the academy and the allocated sum affirms.
4. The accounts department of academy allocates the authorized sum within 1 day.

Also Trade-union committee in accordance with celebrating of professional holidays of the Republic of Kazakhstan awards workers of the academy with gifts and for thankful letters and diplomas. From the beginning of the academic year professional holidays "Drivers Day” (on October, 29) and "Financier Day” (on November, 15) have been included.
