Publishing house "Civil Engineering and Architecture”

According to the order of USSR State committee and national education Almaty Architecture and Civil Engineering Institute was conceded a right to output educational and scientific literature. In this way on 03.04.1991 according to the letter of Ministry of Education of Kazakh SSR and order of rector Atrushkeevich P.A. Editorial Publishing department of Almaty Architecture and Civil Engineering was organized and started its activity. Further by the decision of cabinet Ministry of the Republic Kazakhstan KazGASA was conceded an editorial right and since this time EPD has started to prepare and output manuals on basic specialties. In 1998 KazGASA was the first to have a right to publish scientific publications in the history of development EPD among the higher educational establishments of the Republic Kazakhstan.
Publishing house "Civil engineering and architecture” has been founded by the order № 46 from 4.06.2002 on the basis of Editorial Publishing department in the academy. It was founded to regulate and improve publishing printing-trades activities. Publishing house is responsible for outputting necessary scientific educational and teaching methodical literature. There is the journal "Vestnik” KazGASA where scientific articles on different directions such as architecture, civil engineering, engineering systems and ecology, economics are published. Publishing house "Civil Engineering and Architecture” contacts with other Higher Educational Schools which are included in the EMD on architecture and civil engineering specialties and cooperates with the Ministry of Education and Science and Ministry of Information and Public Agreement of the Republic Kazakhstan.
During the work of Publishing House of KazGASA more than 1000 items of scientific and teaching methodical literature with total volume more than 10000 printed sheets including 20 monographs and about 70 manuals were prepared and output. The volume of edited literature on the State language is being increased.
In the nearest future the volumes of publishing activities are being planned to increase significantly and take into account not only the inland needs of Academy but also the needs of the wide range of customers on special literature in the Construction and Architecture fields in the territory of our Republic.
The scientific journal Vestnik Kaz GASA is edited with the goal of effective using the experience of teachers’ scientific and pedagogical activities in the Academy and which is a printing edition of the Academy and included in to the International list of Scientific Notice. ISSN. Besides it is included in the List of publication Committee on control and attestation in the field of education and sciences for the publication of main scientific results of dissertation on 05.00.00- Technical sciences and on 18.00.00 – Architecture.
Main languages of publications are Kazakh and Russian.
Scientific workers, teachers, postgraduate students and candidates have a right to publish their articles.
The topical scientific research materials and the articles which were not published earlier and not given to other editions are accepted for publishing.
The articles pass through independent review in accordance with which the edition council takes a decision of their publishing.
Periodical edition of the journal is 4 times a year.
Articles which are prepared for publications are accepted in the electronic and printed variants.
Review should be applied to the articles: and all the information about the author (full names, place of job, occupation, and scientific degree, an academic status, address, telephone)
All the materials are kept at the editorial department and they are not returned to the authors.
Requirements
1. The text in volume till 3–5 pages of A format should be typed on the Word processor fonts Times New Roman №14 across 1 interval and should be typed with margins: at the left 35 mm, on the right- 15 mm, from above 20 mm, and from below- 30 mm.
2. The electronic copy (on a diskette of 3,5 inches) should be applied to the printer out variant. It is necessary for the design of the article:
• Index UDK (УДК);
• Full names and initials of the author
• Scientific degree, occupation;
• the title of the article (in capital letter)
• Resume (short annotation with main results of the research work)no more than 1/3 papers
• Materials and methods should be described completely for the reproduction. But the materials which were published earlier shouldn’t be published. It is enough to show references; the volume of the text shouldn’t be more than 8–10 pages.
3. References to the literature source are given with numbers in square brackets with mention in the text of articles. In the list of literature after the full names and initials of authors should follow the title of articles, books, journals, year, volume, number the first and last pages across the hyphen.
4. Illustrations (graphics, diagrams) should be executed on the computer in the size more than? pages.
5. The articles which don’t meet all specified requirements are not published.
6. All the materials are kept at the editorial department and they are not returned.

Annually Scientific centre «NTMKS” of Kazakh Leading Academy of Architect and Civil Engineering holds the Republic Scientific Student’s conference „Student and science: view to the future”. The results of the students scientific- research works are published in the same name collection. The staff of the Publishing house deals with the editing, making models and editing collection.
