Post graduate course and doctorate are main forms of training sсientific pedagogical and scientific staff.
Training of post-graduates in architecture and civil engineering were conducted in KazPTI named after Lenina.
In 1980 after forming AACI as an independent higher education establishment 23 post-graduates of 10 specialities were transferred to it and 12 people were admitted.
The first post-graduates were: Baitenov E.M., Doilida A.I., Toibayev K.D. etc.
Foreign citizens from foreign countries were trained since 1986 (Irag,Algeria,Syria,Egypt,Kambodja,Jordani.)
In 1997 doctorate of speciality “ Construction materials and articles” was founded. Post-graduates are tought by architecture, technical and economics sciense.
Post-graduates are instructed by 39 scientists, among them 26 doctors,professors, 13 candidates of science.Present time 01.09.09 3 post-graduatesstudy at KazGASA.
Since 1980-2007 17 doctors and 165 candidate’s dissertations were defended by post-graduates and collaborators, research workers. In 2008-2009 academic year 3 doctors’ 13condidates’ dissertations were defended by post-graduates and collaborators.

The first head of post-graduate course AASI since 1982 –1986 was Sambetbayev Aitpai Amreyevich.
Since 1987-1998 the head of post-graduate course was Yurochkina A.I.
Since 1999-2001 the head- Aliferenko B.A.
Since 2001-2004 the head- Isabekova V.B.
Since 2004-2009 the head- Adilova Zh.A.
Since 07 may 2009 the head – Alipbekova Zh.E.
